Mammography Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Mammography Technologist to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality digital mammography exams while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and diagnostic accuracy. You’ll work in a collaborative setting dedicated to early detection, quality outcomes, and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform digital screening and diagnostic mammograms according to physician orders and imaging protocols
  • Ensure high image quality while minimizing patient exposure to radiation
  • Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records within the electronic medical records system
  • Provide clear instructions and compassionate support to patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Assist with patient scheduling and exam preparation as needed
  • Ensure compliance with ACR, FDA, MQSA, and state regulations
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, reporting any issues promptly
  • Collaborate with radiologists and the broader clinical team to support workflow and diagnostic accuracy
  • Maintain continuing education requirements and stay current on mammography best practices

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Current ARRT (R) certification and Mammography (M) certification required
  • Texas MRT license required
  • Minimum 1 year of mammography experience preferred, but strong new graduates will be considered
  • CPR certification (BLS) required
