Mammography Technician

About the Role

The Mammography Technologist provides patient care for diagnosis and treatment of anatomical and physiological disorders under the supervision of the Director of Radiology. Access to personal transportation, a valid operator's license, and insurance coverage are required. Occasional travel may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures
• Ensure patient safety
• Assist with other duties as directed

Requirements

• Formal training with registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Certification by the Kentucky Department of Human Resources Radiation Control Branch
• Mammography licensure/certification within one year of hire

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move and stand for extended periods
• Ability to negotiate stairs
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
• Ability to assist patients safely
• Manual dexterity, visual and auditory acuity
• Tolerance for exposure to hazardous materials
