About the role

Join the Navy Gateway Inn & Suites in Fallon, NV as a Part-Time Maintenance Worker. Located at Naval Air Station Fallon—the Navy’s premier tactical aviator training facility and home of “Top Gun”—you’ll support a high-volume military lodging operation by ensuring excellent service to our military community every day. No military affiliation is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic plumbing repairs
• Conduct routine maintenance on washers and dryers
• Maintain HVAC systems
• Handle general upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures, and equipment
• Complete simple maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and electrical repairs

Requirements

• One year of general maintenance experience involving the upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures, or equipment or a high school diploma/GED (one year of high school may substitute for 3 months of experience, up to a full year of experience)
• One year of specialized experience in simple maintenance work (e.g., painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs)

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing
• Ability to work in tiring and uncomfortable positions
• Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds

Pay

Competitive federal wage (benefits begin on day one).
