Maintenance Technician - West Edge
About the role
West Edge has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in our success, performing technical and mechanical work that ensures the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the property meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing assigned work orders, preventative maintenance, and repairs. This includes diagnosing and repairing defects, completing the "make-ready" process for vacant apartments, and maintaining the grounds and common areas.
- Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner, including appliance repairs
- Prepare apartments for new move-ins by completing the "make-ready" process
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas
- Assist with vendor management and other duties
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections for equipment
Requirements
- Knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
- Previous experience with painting, entry-level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing
- High level of professionalism in both manner and dress
- Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling, as well as any certifications required by State and Local jurisdictions. A valid driver's license is also required to operate a golf cart on property, depending on the property size.

Pay
The hourly range for this position is $23.00 - $27.04, with additional compensation available through bonus programs and other incentives.
Schedule
The Maintenance Technician will be required to work a flexible schedule, including taking "call" during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Rare or regular travel may be required to assist other properties as needed.
