Responsible for executing maintenance of all aspects of the facility and its services, including maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Ensures the set up and safe use of tools and equipment before production.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute Predictive/Preventative/Corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Robotic MHE equipment.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and electrical/instrument test equipment to install and maintain facility equipment safely.
- Exhibit Safety and Maintenance best practices and ensure compliance by others.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in the building.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Operations and mentor other technicians.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns to maximize equipment availability and prioritize response to issues.
- Support continuous improvement of systems and understand Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and performance metrics.
- Act as SME for the operational team on correct equipment use.
- Collaborate with and oversee contractors, including escalations when required.
- Manage critical spare parts inventory using CMMS.
- Provide on-site support and manage high-severity ticket escalations.
- Document work performed, unusual conditions, or defective equipment accurately.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain tools and work areas with good housekeeping practices.
- Perform safety inspections and audits as required.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with Material Handling Equipment, specifically Automation, conveyance, and robotics.
- 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines with relevant experience in robotics and automation.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for proactive maintenance and work orders.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA, NFPA70).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).
- Proven ability to oversee and influence team members.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and workload.
- Experience detecting malfunctions and solving issues.
- Experience with safe operation of power tools, hand tools, and machinery.
- Packaging operation and high-speed automation experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Comfort with exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Experience with safety oversight and safe operation of motor vehicles.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally without mechanical assistance.
- Experience reviewing blueprints and CAD drawings.
Schedule
- Rotating shift: Week 1: Monday - Wednesday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Week 2: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Must be open to overtime and schedule flexibility as needed.
Pay
$33 per hour (base) + 5% target quarterly bonus.
