Compensation: $23.00 USD Hourly

About the role

The Facility Maintenance Technician performs routine buildings and grounds maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Drive shuttles safely over specified routes or to destinations, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to ensure passenger safety.
  • Assist passengers with entering/exiting vehicles and handling luggage.
  • Test vehicle equipment before each shift and maintain cleanliness of vehicles.
  • Paint and stain interior and exterior of buildings.
  • Repair damage to walls and flooring.
  • Perform various woodworking tasks and form/pour concrete for small slabs and footings.
  • Replace and fix plumbing fixtures.
  • Record detailed logs of work performed using Maintenance Management Software.
  • Conduct weekly preventative maintenance inspections of facility assets.
  • Assist with facility recycling program and occasional landscaping, mowing, snow removal, and plowing.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance of kitchen equipment and HVAC equipment.
  • Occasionally perform custodial tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid State driver’s license with mandated endorsements.
  • At least 2 years of facility maintenance or carpentry-related experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Class D Driver’s License with insurable driving record (CDL preferred).
  • Possess or ability to obtain a Special Engineer Boiler License.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds infrequently.
  • Engage in physical activities including walking, working on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders and stairs, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Perform duties at heights from 10-30+ feet off the ground.
  • Work in all weather conditions, including extremes of heat and cold.

  • Company vehicles including trucks, ATVs, and snowmobiles.
  • Skid loaders and telehandlers.
  • Commercial cleaning equipment.
  • Computer with Microsoft Office.
  • Building Automation Systems.
