Maintenance Technician - Spruce Manor Apartments

About the role

The successful Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers. They will ensure a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and a hazard-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Cleans up after work is complete.
• Performs repairs on the property, including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical.
• Cleans apartments during turnover process, as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic building maintenance required either through training or experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year in skilled maintenance work.
• Technical training in one or more building trades preferred.
• Take direction from the supervisor.
• Read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions.
• Flexible to change work plans.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance.
• Likely to legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year in skilled maintenance work.

Pay

$22-24/hour, dependent on experience.

Schedule

Early close Fridays (3 paid hours each Friday), early close prior to a holiday (3 paid hours), paid time off between Christmas and New Year's Holiday, paid volunteer time, paid parental leave and caregiver leave.
