Maintenance Technician - Residential High-rise

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement work involving HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical components, carpentry, painting, and mechanical equipment
- Respond to resident service requests and work orders, estimate repair time, and document completed work in the work order system
- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment according to established schedules
- Inspect building amenities and common areas to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
- Troubleshoot building systems and respond quickly to operational issues affecting the property
- Cookordination with and monitoring service vendors and contractors performing building repairs or maintenance
- Maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and safety procedures
- Provide professional and responsive customer service to residents and colleagues
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3 – 5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or property maintenance
- Experience working in apartment communities, commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, universities, hotels, or high-rise properties strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, carpentry, and general building repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and building systems effectively
- Strong communication skills and commitment to customer service
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and email systems
- Pittsburgh Stationary Power Engineer License Journeyman Plumbing License or other technical trade certification (preferred)
Skills
