Maintenance Technician- PM Shift

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic will maintain all plant equipment, performing repairs and preventative maintenance as a key member of the Operations Division in Bozeman.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines using diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions to control downtime; inform production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitor compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform process instrumentation tasks including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and calibration.
• Read, understand, and troubleshoot using electrical schematics.
• Conduct general electrical troubleshooting of 24v, 110v, 220v, and 480v systems.
• Apply knowledge of process flow theory to maintenance tasks.
• Perform sanitary welding as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance or an instrumentation certificate.
• Highly proficient in troubleshooting PLCs, electrical controls, and instrumentation.
• Knowledgeable in mechanical machinery, steam, boiler, pneumatic, and hydraulic operations.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Availability for all days and shifts.
• Food background preferred, specifically dairy.
• Experience in various manufacturing areas (production, logistics) within consumer products.

Boiler and/or refrigeration experience is preferred.

Schedule

2 pm to 12 am on 4–10-hour shifts across 7 days (Sun–Sat) with 3 days off (at least two consecutive) per week.
