Maintenance Technician III (San Mateo Market)

About the role

The Neighbor Service Technician III at Prometheus is responsible for all general apartment maintenance to ensure the quality living environment for Neighbors and to support the Neighborhood's financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Ensure Neighbors feel at home, cared for, and proud of their living environment.
• Daily Operations: Timely completion of apartment turnovers, troubleshooting/repairs of major and minor mechanical systems, scheduling vendors, tracking budgets, and performing administrative support.
• Leadership: Mentor the team, manage costs, and set a standard for the team.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, and minimum three certificates from related institutions.
• Experience: Minimum three to four years experience in apartment maintenance, or two or more years of supervisory experience.
• Availability: Available for on-call services and weekends.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency, understanding of building materials and tools, ability to use Yardi and manage work orders.
• Physical Demands: Standing, climbing, balancing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, and visual acuity. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Qualifications

• Industry Experience: Mastery of plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Safety: Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Communication: Ability to speak, communicate, read, write, and understand English.
• Leadership: One to two years of supervisory experience.

Skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Understanding of building materials and tools.
• Ability to use Yardi and manage work orders.
