Primary Responsibilities

  • Work independently to inspect and maintain machinery and equipment in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Identify and resolve equipment safety hazards and perform safety repairs as directed.
  • Conduct appropriate preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the plant.
  • Replace, overhaul, or fabricate broken and damaged components as needed, to include: wiring, relays, PLC's, switches, electric motors, user interfaces, digital & analog inputs/outputs, positioning devices, and controls.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs: diagnose malfunctioning systems, isolate faults, determine correction actions, and organize & carryout repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes and Lockout/Tagout procedures, in order to execute repairs and maintenance.
  • Aid in the planning, development, and installation of facility upgrades and repairs including wiring, conduit, and electrical distribution equipment.
  • Operate and maintain various electrical and electronic equipment including 24VDC (and lower) control circuitry and 120/208/240/480VAC equipment and distribution panels IAW electrical code.
  • Apply a working knowledge of motor controllers, VFD's, sensors, and motion control devices to the maintenance of multi-axis automated machines.
  • Perform miscellaneous maintenance duties, as assigned.
  • Provide training and guidance to other Maintenance Technicians.

Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
  • Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment.
  • Physical requirements of the job.

Pay and Schedule

  • Pay rate for this position is $35.15 per hour.
  • There is a $2.00 per hour differential for 2nd Shift.

Schedule

  • 1st Shift work hours are 5:00am - 1:30pm (M-F)
  • 2nd Shift work hours are 3:30pm to 2:00am (M-Th)
