Maintenance Technician III

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment at Yesway and Allsup’s locations, serving as a subject matter expert in general maintenance functions including light electrical, light carpentry, plumbing, HVAC/R, and foodservice/beverage equipment.
• Facilitates and inspects work performed by third-party vendors.
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Accurately maintains inventory and tools on company-provided vehicle.
• Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to efficiently manage, track, and close work orders, update asset records, and monitor repair history.
• Participates in training to stay updated on managing existing and new equipment.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensures each job is completed with quality, cost-effectiveness, timeliness, and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three to five years’ experience in the maintenance field.
• Experience or training in one of the following fields: HVAC/R, Plumbing, Electrical, or Foodservice/Beverage repair.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, use hand/electric carts, power and hand tools, and ladders; ability to perform tasks requiring crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and must be insurable as a driver.
• EPA 608 Type I & II certifications OR EPA 608 Universal HVAC certification, or willingness to obtain certification within a designated timeframe.
