Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance on EAS assets, facility equipment, and building systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair common mechanical, plumbing, lighting, door, hardware, and facility-related issues with minimal supervision.
- Support repairs to fabrication equipment, welding equipment, air systems, pumps, motors, and other production support equipment within training and qualifications.
- Complete small installations, modifications, and facility improvement assignments.
- Read and follow equipment manuals, preventative maintenance procedures, basic drawings, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Prioritize assigned work orders and communicate expected completion dates, delays, and material needs.
- Aid in contractor coordination and verify assigned work areas are ready and safe for outside vendors.
- Train and mentor Maintenance Technician I employees in safe work practices and routine maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, parts usage, and equipment history.
- Identify recurring failures and recommend practical corrective actions or process improvements.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and escalate complex or high-risk conditions as appropriate.
- Follow all EAS safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements.
Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for routine and moderately complex maintenance issues.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical systems within assigned qualifications.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, basic construction drawings, and maintenance procedures.
- Good documentation, organization, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and support changing production priorities.
- Demonstrated willingness to train and assist less experienced employees.
- Personal computer skills sufficient to complete work orders and use Microsoft Office or maintenance management software.
Special Skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work in varying heat, cold, and noise and perform work at heights utilizing ladders and lifts.
