About the Role
The Neighbor Service Technician I is responsible for efficiently performing all general maintenance tasks, including service requests and turnover functions, to maintain and preserve the Neighborhood and provide a quality living environment for the Neighbors. First and foremost, it's your job to ensure our Neighbors feel at home, well-cared for, and genuinely proud to live in our Neighborhoods.
Responsibilities
- Timely completion of all phases of apartment turnovers.
- Troubleshooting and repair of most major and all minor mechanical systems.
- Assisting Neighbors with basic appliance repairs and installation, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum of two years of experience and/or training in apartment maintenance.
- Must be available for on-call services.
- Ability to speak, communicate, read, write, and understand English (or other primary languages used in the workplace) to maintain safety and serve customers.
- Basic computer proficiency and understanding of building materials and tools.
Physical Demands
- Requires standing, climbing, balancing, sitting, walking, and repetitive motions.
- Most work tasks are performed outdoors in moderate temperatures.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Pay
Compensation Pay Range: $27.75 to $28.75 per hour.
- Discretionary Semi-Annual Bonus Plan.
