About the role

As a Maintenance Technician 1 – Conveyor Systems, you will ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly, responding in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns. You will maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems, change and repair parts of conveyor systems, as well as rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts. You will also conduct daily inspections of machinery for potential problems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly, responding in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns.
  • Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems.
  • Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, as well as rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
  • Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Conduct daily inspections of machinery for potential problems.
  • Ensure MHS (conveyor) systems are working at optimum capacity from time to time.
  • Contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 1+ years or greater related experience and/or training in mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • High voltage electrical experience is required.
  • Current Driver's License and clean driving record.

Qualifications

  • The ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform job duties.
  • The ability to utilize company tools and have the ability to purchase new tools as needed.
  • The knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), industrial conveyor systems and controls in distribution, shipping, and sorting environments, VFDs, and electronic motors (480V).
  • The knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PMs (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-Phase electrical work.
  • The ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints.
  • The knowledge of OSHA requirements.
  • The ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24-hour operations, occasionally working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • The ability to lift 60 pounds on a routine basis.

Pay

The expected starting base pay range for this position is $28.77 - $35.96, with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $35.96 - $43.15. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors. This position may also be eligible for shift differentials, overtime pay, or other forms of additional compensation, in accordance with applicable Company policies and law.

Schedule

Shift(s): Sunday to Wednesday - 2:00pm to 12:00am (Schedule subject to change based on the needs of the business)
