About the role
The Neighbor Service Technician I is responsible for efficiently performing all general maintenance tasks, including service requests and turnover functions, to maintain and preserve the Neighborhood and provide a quality living environment for the Neighbors.
Responsibilities
- Ensure our Neighbors feel at home, well-cared for, and genuinely proud to live in our Neighborhoods.
- Complete all phases of apartment turnovers in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and repair most major and all minor mechanical systems.
- Assist Neighbors with basic appliance repairs and installation, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Must be available for on-call services.
- Minimum of two years experience and/or training in apartment maintenance.
- Ability to speak, communicate, read, write, and understand the primary languages used in the workplace, including English, to maintain safety and serve customers.
- Basic computer proficiency and understanding of building materials and tools.
- Physical demands include standing, climbing, balancing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, and visual acuity. Most work tasks are performed outdoors in moderate temperatures. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Pay
Compensation Pay Range: $27.75 to $28.75 per hour.
