Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly, responding in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns.
• Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems.
• Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, as well as rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
• Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform housekeeping duties including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Conduct daily inspections of machinery for potential problems.
• From time to time, be called in after hours to ensure material handling and conveyor systems are working at optimum capacity.
• Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree or trade school certificate preferred.
• 1 year of related experience and/or training in industrial maintenance, automated conveyor systems, material handling equipment or equivalent.
• Exposure to high voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds routinely.
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record.

Skills

• Ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform job duties.
• Proficiency with company tools and ability to request new tools as needed.
• Knowledge of material handling systems, industrial conveyor systems and controls in distribution, shipping, and sorting environments, VFDs, and electronic motors (480V).
• Knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures, Preventative Maintenance, and 3-Phase electrical work.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude and work experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24-hour operations, occasionally working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay

The expected starting base pay range for this position is $28.77 to $35.96 per hour, with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure of $28.77 to $43.15 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors. This position may also be eligible for shift differentials, overtime pay, or other forms of additional compensation in accordance with applicable Company policies and law.

Schedule

Wednesday through Saturday from 1:00 pm to 11:30 pm (hours subject to change depending on business needs).
