About the role
This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure smooth operation and prevent downtime.Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment such as conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines.
- Follow food safety rules when working in production areas, ensuring all procedures and materials meet food safety standards.
- Handle emergency repairs during production shifts, quickly restoring equipment functionality to minimize downtime.
- Manage spare parts and tools inventory to ensure availability for routine and emergency repairs.
- Work safely by adhering to OSHA regulations and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; a two-year degree in a specialized maintenance trade is preferred.
- Minimum of 0 to 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency in completing work orders and entering necessary paperwork into a computer system.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
