Maintenance Technician (Gas Compressors)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment including high-speed reciprocating compressors, low-speed compressors, air compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, and other plant equipment.
• Perform routine startup and shutdown of individual equipment and processes.
• Monitor usage of utilities, fuel, chemicals, lube oils, etc., to prevent excessive consumption at current processing and production rates.
• Monitor and recognize dangerous or emergency conditions within the process; perform procedures to remove the condition or shut down the process/facility to protect personnel and equipment.
• Recognize malfunctions in individual equipment and perform maintenance as necessary to correct problems.
• Monitor levels of lubricants, fluids, chemicals, etc., and refill as necessary to prevent damage to equipment.
• Write work orders using MAXIMO for routine and major maintenance.
• Operate field amine and glycol treaters.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to interface with teams, personnel, and vendors.
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office Software.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call-outs as needed.
• Ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in changing climate conditions and close quarters (e.g., kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, standing).
• Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (e.g., eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience operating and maintaining mechanical equipment and processes listed under job duties.
• Experience with Waukesha Pearce, Caterpillar 3600/3601, or Ariel Compressors.
