Maintenance Technician

This role supports a client that designs, develops, manufactures, and markets orthopedics products, including knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, foot and ankle artificial joints, and dental prostheses. The client operates in more than 40 countries.

About the role

This is a 12-month temporary onsite assignment located in Parsippany, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Organize the Preventive Maintenance group, schedule work, and manage overtime as a back-up to the Group Leader.
• Document PM activities.
• Repair vacuum systems, perform leak checking, maintain process gas systems, and gas cabinets.
• Diagnose faulty equipment safely and effectively.
• Prioritize health, safety, and quality; model behavior conducive to a healthy and safe work environment.
• Actively participate in personnel training to improve individual performance.
• Work shift rotation (first, second, third, fourth, and fifth shifts), staggered weekend shifts, and a reasonable amount of overtime as required.
• Follow approved standard operating procedures and safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot faulty equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience.
• Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with high quality expectations in a team-based environment.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Experience with power tools and light machining equipment.
• Positive and assertive job attitude; self-motivated, independent worker with the ability to learn.
• Mechanically inclined.

Pay

$31.50/hour.

Schedule

• Shift rotation including first, second, third, fourth, and fifth shifts.
• Staggered weekend shifts.
• Overtime as required.
