About the role
The Maintenance Technician position at The Quarters Auburn is a full-time role working a standard schedule, Monday - Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Nights or weekends may be required from time to time dependent on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the value of a well-run property with emphasis on preventative upkeep, capital improvement, and maintenance repair.
- Provide excellent customer service to our residents, taking pride in the property, and understanding that this role is critical to the reputation of the property.
- Monitor residential sites, building locations, clubhouse, amenities, and other common areas for superior curb appeal, general cleanliness, and organization.
- Review, assign, and follow-up on open work orders to ensure the work order is completed and accepted within company guidelines.
- Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and observe work performed by independent contractors to ensure quality product and service.
- Respond to after-hour emergency issues.
- Monitor maintenance trends and develop a preventative maintenance program to help minimize cost to owner.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory of company vehicles, machinery, and tools.
- Assist with annual unit turnover and help execute move-in/move-out procedures.
Requirements
- One or more years of experience in building maintenance – student housing experience is a plus.
- Experience with HVAC and appliance repair.
- A valid driver's license is required for this position.
- Working knowledge of pool service and maintenance is required. Open to becoming a Certified Pool Operator.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Possess strong administrative, organization, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and excels at working in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and bend for up to 8 hours (with breaks) in hot, cold, and wet environments.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience with Entrata software is preferred.
- Ability to fulfill rotating on-call duties as needed.

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $15.73 - $21.64 per hour plus bonus potential. This range is determined by current market data based on the position requirements and complexities.
