Module X Solutions (MXS) designs, engineers, manufactures, and integrates modular structures for our customers in the solar energy, oil & gas/petrochemical, transportation, utility, fiber & telecommunications, and government sectors. Our product line is manufactured locally and deployed domestically and internationally. Emerging market sectors such as renewable energy solutions [primarily solar & energy storage applications] are our niche.
HOURS
HOURS: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM. Initial training will be conducted on day shift for approximately 1–2 weeks from 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Upon transition to second shift, a $2.00/hour shift differential will be added to the base hourly rate.
JOB SUMMARY
Performing repair or general Maintenance work to keep facilities, buildings, grounds, machines, mechanical equipment in repair. Duties involve electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier, and painting tasks; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Handle basic repairs and maintenance.
- Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
- Estimate repair costs.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Provide grounds keeping services.
- Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties.
- Install, align and balance new equipment.
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner and reports potential hazards.
- Follow proper safety procedures while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Work Experience: Minimum 2-3 years building maintenance experience performing some carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing functions
Experience and knowledge of operating equipment including a fork lift truck, hand and/or pallet truck, personal lift, safely around people and equipment, a must.
Self-starter with ability to work independently finding solutions to obstacles.
Very organized, can thrive in a busy environment
Knowledge of basic electrical systems
Knowledge of safety rules, hazards and application of accident prevention measures
Able to effectively manage work to achieve required timelines
Must be comfortable working from ladders and at heights
Able to work safely - Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Technical School certifications and/or training preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
