About the role
Join the fastest growing property management company in Michigan as a Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude, self-motivated, and self-directed. Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with residents while carrying out general repairs and preventative maintenance, including HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
Responsibilities
- Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
- Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments
- Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
- Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
- Performing preventative maintenance tasks
- Conducting move-in/move-out inspections
- Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts
- Ensuring service shop is clean and organized
- Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas
- Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors, including trash pickup and snow removal
- Adhering to established policies related to fair housing
Requirements
- 1-3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience
- A valid driver’s license
- Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call availability
- A high school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
