Maintenance Technician
About the Role
Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join the Pass and Seymour Team in Concord, NC. The Maintenance Technician inputs and maintains the data integrity of the shop floor inventory. Assists in the execution of the production plan. Function as group leader for areas, assuring uniform work flow according to priorities, keeping track of supplies and helping co-workers as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all machines, tools, and equipment.
- Support facilities for the Concord location.
- Capable of setting up and operating a variety of machine shop and maintenance repair equipment.
- Plumb air and steam systems using verbal instructions and/or prints, and support department mechanics through hands-on training and troubleshooting of equipment in production areas.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience preferred.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Machines, tools, and equipment used include tow motors, hand tools, power tools, machine shop equipment, micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, electrical test equipment, welding machines, cutting torches, Skyjack or boom lifts, and any special tools or instruments required.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
- Operate forklift trucks to move equipment and machinery.
- Move and install machines and/or facility equipment.
- Support the engineering group on proposed project functions.
- Troubleshoot and maintain all machine tools and related equipment not otherwise listed.
- Install, maintain, and repair piping systems, pumps, and related equipment.
- Ensure preventive maintenance procedures are followed in accordance with outlined PM procedures using company maintenance software.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Interface and work directly with maintenance staff and other support groups.
- Perform any and all additional related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma preferred. Additional college and vocational coursework preferred and may be required to broaden the individual's educational background.
Preferred Experience: Five (5) years of maintenance experience in an injection molding environment.
Experience: Preferred minimum of three months of manufacturing experience. Forklift and data entry experience preferred.

- Ability to perform repetitive job functions, including hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Manual dexterity required for assembly work and operation of tools and machinery.
- Ability to safely operate moving equipment without risk to self, others, or equipment.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform material handler job functions.
- Basic electrical control troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use a variety of precision measuring and electrical instruments.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience with injection molding machines.
- Ability to operate a forklift, Skyjack, and boom lift.
- Ensure preventive maintenance procedures are followed.
- Ability to interface and work directly with maintenance staff and other support groups.
- Ability to perform electrical wiring, properly size components, and plumb air and steam systems using verbal instructions and/or technical prints.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required
- Hearing protection.
- Eye protection.
- Steel or composite toe, slip-resistant safety shoes.
