Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $35.95 - 43.12/hour

Physical Location: Reading Box Plant, 100 N Grace Street, Reading, PA 19611

About the role

Full-Time, Hourly positions available on 2nd Shift (4pm to 12am) and 3rd Shift (12am to 8am).

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and practices; perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observe operations, vibrations, and noise levels
• Perform emergency and breakdown maintenance to support plant operations; reference equipment manuals and other technical literature; contact and work with vendors and subcontractors
• Accurately use measurement and test equipment
• Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed
• Safely operate the boiler and maintain adequate operating steam pressure
• Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork
• Troubleshoot and solve problems; maintain teamwork with other associates and keep supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Requirements

• Ability to perform the duties/responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices
• Well-rounded electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills and experience
• Ability to learn; follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a team member
