About the role
Holtec International is seeking qualified Maintenance Technicians to join its Manufacturing Operations team. The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and facility systems. This hands-on position will support daily operations by maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery and systems critical to Holtec’s manufacturing activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
- Install, repair, and upgrade production machinery and auxiliary systems according to operational needs and safety standards.
- Conduct equipment inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify wear, damage, or failure risks.
- Support the commissioning and decommissioning of machinery, including disassembly and reassembly of critical components.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance work, repair history, parts usage, and equipment reliability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, efficiency, and operational uptime.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety codes and internal procedures during all maintenance activities.
- Work closely with Maintenance Manager, Shop Managers, and Production Supervisors to prioritize tasks and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance or industrial experience, including relevant military or technical training.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, lubrication, and power transmission systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, diagrams, equipment manuals, and schematics.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in an industrial setting.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Physical ability to support shop-floor operations, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, kneeling, and working in potentially adverse environmental conditions.
Qualifications
- Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field.
- Experience with overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and welding support equipment.
- Working knowledge of electrical schematics, motor control systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment subject to quality standards and safety regulations.
