About the role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Facility Services Team at our Global Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This position will require mechanical troubleshooting experience to maintain or repair building equipment and perform routine maintenance activities. The Facilities Services department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment related to heating, ventilation and air conditioning, water, industrial electrical distribution, fire protection systems, sewage systems, and general building maintenance. Additionally, services are provided to other corporate groups including moving, rearrangement of office partitions, installation of specialized equipment, and more.
Responsibilities
- Completes Preventative Maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to Building Equipment including pumps, air handlers, exhaust fans, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, doors, etc.
- Performs general building maintenance tasks to include installing, repairing, and/or replacing bulletin boards, office furniture, ceiling tiles, carpet tile, appliances, signage, locks, etc.
- Performs routine inspections, touch-up painting, and assembles equipment.
- Repairs or modifies office and room configurations by installing modular walls, workstations, furniture, cubicle walls, doors, and door frames.
- Completes personnel moves and room setups.
- Maintains certification to issue Safety Work Permits (required).
- Performs basic Electro-Mechanical Technician (EMT) responsibilities when qualified.
- Assists EMTs when assigned by supervisors.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate degree in trades is preferred but not required.
- 3+ years of relevant industrial maintenance experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Able to read and understand schematics and blueprints (required).
- Comfortable accessing the roof, using extension ladders, man lifts, and scissor lifts (required).
- Ability to operate a forklift (required).
- Able to lift over 50 lbs. on a consistent basis (required).
- Availability to work Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (required).
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime (required).
- A valid driver’s license and a good driving record (required).
Skills
- Industrial maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and other building/system schematics.
- Experience with shop tools.
- Ability to take direction and work independently.

Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (with flexibility to work occasional overtime).
