Maintenance Technician

Fives Landis Corp (Gardner Abrasives) is actively seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its team in South Beloit, IL. About the role

At Fives, you will play a key part in maintaining and restoring machines and equipment to full operation. You will join the Maintenance team at Gardner Abrasives, a global leader in high-precision abrasive grinding wheels since 1905. Located in South Beloit, IL, a short distance from Beloit, WI or Rockford, IL, this role is ideal for someone passionate about hands-on work and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems, plan corrective action, and complete repairs to restore machines and equipment to full operation.
• Read and comprehend machine and equipment manuals, parts, prints, and layouts.
• Utilize proper tools, equipment, and gauges to maintain safety, quality, and production requirements.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and rules for health and safety.
• Demonstrate adaptability, strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Work in an environment that prioritizes electrical/controls safety and compliance.

Pay
