About the role

This position supports manufacturing employees and line management by ensuring functioning equipment. The role is based on-site at our Delhi, IA facility and is not eligible for immigration or work visa sponsorship.

Shift: 1st Shift

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to minimize production disruptions.
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment for proper operation and safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify maintenance needs and assist with equipment setup, calibration, and testing.
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain and update maintenance logs and documentation, including work orders, parts usage, and repairs performed.
  • Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to identify areas for improvement and assist in the development of maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with 5S and safety standards.
  • Participate in training programs to stay current with industry standards and maintenance techniques.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Understanding of industrial instrumentation and control.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA laws as related to general shop practice.
  • Basic mechanical ability to dismantle and reassemble simple assemblies.
  • Experience in a machine shop environment is desired.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical breakdowns.
  • Must be able to consistently lift 40 lbs, work on lift platforms up to 30 ft high, and ladders up to 35 ft.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems and equipment.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay

The salary for this position is between $22.19 and $25.61 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
