Maintenance Technician

About the Role

This is a 12-hour night shift position with a $3 shift differential, working every other weekend. The role involves installation, alterations, maintenance, development, and repair of plant machinery, equipment, facilities, and structures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Set up and operate machining tools such as engine lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinders; construct or alter replacement parts and recondition production tooling.
• Maintain plant plumbing, heating, cooling, and related facilities and equipment.
• Read and understand electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Demonstrate knowledge of PLCs, electronic and mechanical systems, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Identify and resolve problems proactively to prevent costly issues.
• Apply welding, fabrication, and machining skills.
• Utilize computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrate knowledge and utilization of lean manufacturing tools.
• Serve as a temporary team leader on a rotational basis.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization through good verbal and written skills.
• Maintain certifications for plant safety and housekeeping practices.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• A 2-year Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related degree OR a minimum of 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience with expertise in the areas listed in this job posting.
• Willingness to work the night shift.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visas, now or in the future.
• Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.
