Responsibilities
- Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to the position.
- Maintain safe and sanitized conditions in agency buildings and equipment that meet or exceed all licensing and policy requirements.
- Operate maintenance equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions, and operations.
- Implement Compass Connections safety protocols, including evacuating with children and staff during emergencies.
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations.
- Adhere to Compass Connections' professional and ethical standards, including respect for staff, children, and community members, and comply with the required dress code.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain buildings and equipment in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
- Report unsafe conditions to supervisory staff and suggest solutions to hazards.
- Meet all pre-determined deadlines required by the program and federal partners.
- Frequently traverse the campus and move equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents as part of Foster Care Programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- First aid and CPR certifications (required).
- Emergency behavior intervention certification (required).
- Two or more years of experience in janitorial or maintenance, with knowledge of chemicals, reactions, and safe use of cleaning supplies and equipment (required).
- Three or more years of related experience and/or training (preferred).
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
- Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
- Pass pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.

- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
