Maintenance Technician

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at Arvato, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by maintaining conveyance and automation systems, completing installations, repairs, and assigned projects throughout the facility. You’ll work closely with the team to coordinate preventative maintenance efforts and be ready to respond quickly to breakdowns or emergencies to keep operations running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the continuous operation of hardware fixtures, equipment, and tools
• Identifying the causes of equipment malfunctions and downtime, and implementing preventive measures
• Preparation of checklists and supplementary instructions for technical documentation
• Maintaining and servicing hardware fixtures, equipment, and tools
• Collaborating and troubleshooting with external service providers
• Implementation of optimizations
• Coordinates preventative maintenance efforts
• Able to lead/direct projects and repairs in all areas of the floor as assigned by the Manager

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to utilize computers/computer-based monitoring equipment to diagnose material handling systems and building automation systems
• Must be team-oriented
• Possess excellent computer skills
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-directed and goal-oriented
• Knowledge of commercial power distribution
• Advanced diagnostic/troubleshooting skills
• Ability to train junior personnel
