Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of training yard facilities, including buildings, classrooms, and training equipment.
- Inspect and perform basic maintenance on training trucks, trailers, and other vehicles (in collaboration with mechanics if needed).
- Ensure yard safety by maintaining signage, lighting, and clear traffic paths for training vehicles.
- Conduct basic repairs on tools, fences, gates, and training props as needed.
- Perform regular inspections and address any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment needed for yard upkeep.
- Auxiliary support in setting up and tearing down training scenarios or mock testing areas.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks such as winter snow removal, de-icing, etc.
Requirements
- but not reClass A CDL preferred but not required.
- Experience in general maintenance, repair, or groundskeeping (CDL yard or trucking facility experience is a plus).
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle or equipment checks.
- Ability to operate yard equipment (e.g., tractors, snow plows, forklifts).
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
