Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

About the Role

Supports production operations by ensuring the optimal performance of manufacturing equipment. In this hands-on role, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and repair production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Schedule

3rd Shift - Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working order
  • On-call emergency repairs
  • Responsible for taking control of breakdowns
  • Execute a plan of continued improvement of machine safety and general housekeeping
  • Work with crews to complete all preventative maintenance
  • Work with machine operator to troubleshoot and determine root cause of mechanical issues
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests and prioritize effectively
  • Work hand in hand with Maintenance Manager to resolve any accident waiting to happen forms
  • Work as a team to maintain organization and inventory of maintenance shop and tools
  • Duties may vary depending on location

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Electrical certification preferred
  • Corrugated packaging industry experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery
  • Ability to use shop tools and equipment (drill press, shop grinders, welders, oxy-acetylene torch)
  • Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude
  • Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Fully computer literate with Microsoft environment

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to perform maintenance on machinery
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular consistent basis
