Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our facilities. In this role, you will perform all maintenance functions, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment while promoting safety and contributing to continuous improvement by reducing unscheduled downtime and enhancing efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical/electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Install piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment according to design drawings, specifications, and product requirements, ensuring proper material selection for compatibility and pressure handling.
- Label and inspect finished work to ensure operators understand the piping circuit.
- Align machines and equipment using tools like hoists, jacks, levels, and plumb bobs to ensure proper alignment and positioning.
- Perform mechanical preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including greasing, aligning, tightening, replacing, changing, or calibrating components as required by the preventive maintenance program.
- Conduct calibration procedures according to the calibration manual and document findings.
- Maintain and repair facility equipment, including HVAC systems, mechanical refrigeration, fire systems, water and sewer networks, air compressors, and chemical treatments, following manufacturer or engineering specifications.
- Maintain and repair all production equipment and industrial facility systems.
- Work independently and as part of a team, assisting production as needed.
- Update and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Maintain work area in 5S condition.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, mixers, and processing equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of related experience and/or training in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Excellent written, reading comprehension, and math skills.
- Ability to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Direct knowledge of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining pumps, mixers, and processing equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Mechanical and electrical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Forklift experience.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics, including electrical drawings, to determine proper work procedures, assembly requirements, and tolerances.
- Regular and acceptable attendance as determined by the employer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Problem-solving skills.
- Experience with conduit bending, stick welding, MIG welding, and TIG welding.
- Experience with cutting torch and pipe threading.
- Previous experience within the ink or related industry.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
