Maintenance Technician, 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour Shifts (7AM-7PM)

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician works 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule from 07:00 A.M. - 07:00 P.M. in Johnson City, TN at the Manufacturing Plant. They must be highly motivated, capable of working safely according to OSHA standards, and proficient in both independent work and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and modify Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Experience with HVAC controls and building automation systems
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical control systems, and instrument loops
• Basic knowledge of instrument calibrations and Metrology practices
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical failures of production machines and facilities equipment
• Knowledge of operation of manufacturing/packaging machinery and experience with installation of new and used equipment
• 3+ years of strong electrical background in troubleshooting motor controls
• Metal fabrication and welding experience preferred
• Work with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, engineering flow diagrams, basic shop math, and machine shop skills
• Knowledge of cGMP practices

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two-year certificate from a technical college or vocational school preferred
• Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry preferred
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret SOPSs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Basic shop math skills – such as calculating averages for a control chart, making machine adjustments, or reading prints
