Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure the upkeep and repair of equipment and machinery, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections.
  • Complete work orders and data input in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment, tools, and work areas.
  • Operate and utilize machine tools for fabrication as necessary.
  • Assist in ordering and managing parts and supplies inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records, including schematics, drawings, and photographs.
  • Repair and replace pipes, fittings, and systems for various equipment, including pumps and compressors.
  • Provide facility maintenance services, such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices.
  • Always use personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with tools, machinery, and hazardous materials.
  • Work closely with other team members, including engineers, quality control staff, and supervisors, to ensure smooth operations and address any issues.
  • Communicate any issues that may impact production schedules or quality to management promptly.

This position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill”).

Requirements

  • 4+ years of maintenance experience, preferably within a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electrical systems, including 480-volt connections.
  • Knowledge of crane operation and welding equipment.
  • Proficient in plumbing and mechanical equipment repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret machine blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong experience with preventive maintenance procedures and work order systems.
  • Forklift training and certification (provided by the company).
  • CNC machine experience is highly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Work Environment

Non-temperature controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles typically associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment, including noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, paint masks, respirators (when required), and OSHA-compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Requires walking, reaching, ascending/descending ladders, bending, kneeling, and stooping.
  • Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
