Entegris is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Bloomington, Minnesota manufacturing site. This role focuses on equipment uptime, reliability, preventative maintenance, safety, troubleshooting, controls, automation, and process improvements in a high-level cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance, calibration, and tooling changeovers for production equipment in accordance with cleanroom standards.
- Fabricates components or fixtures using hand-powered tools, drill presses, and manual mills.
- Assists in SAP equipment profile creation and procurement of spare parts to maintain inventory levels.
- Performs wiring and plumbing tasks using schematics for pneumatic and electrical circuits.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots cleanroom equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Modifies existing product profiles in automated machinery using PLCs as needed.
- Creates and maintains detailed equipment documentation.
- Collaborates with the Maintenance Manager, fellow technicians, and production team to meet department goals.
- Supports facilities maintenance and manufacturing engineering projects.
- Strictly follows cleanroom protocols, including the use of protective gear and garments.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities such as 6s and Kaizen events.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area, adhering to approved safety procedures.
- Completes miscellaneous tasks in support of the larger organization.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older with the right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent education/vocational training.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of cleanroom assembly protocols and manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to operate manual machining equipment (drill, mill, etc.) to fabricate fixtures and components.
- Ability to wire, troubleshoot control panels, and work with electrical/pneumatic circuits using schematics.
- Basic proficiency with PLCs and Microsoft Office Software.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- HVAC experience preferred but not required.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and high-visibility vests.
- Adherence to cleanroom attire standards (gown, hair/beard nets, shoe coverings, gloves).
- Ability to work from elevated heights with proper harness and protective equipment.
- Role involves repetitive pinching, grasping, twisting, and bending.
