Maintenance Tech Specialist - Pipefitter

This position is located at our East Alton, IL facility and operates on a swing shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd on rotating weeks).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and lead the operating crew to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Make complex decisions on hydraulic and combustion repairs, ensuring quality repairs the first time.
• Lead specialized fluids troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Work with the production team to drive continuous improvement.
• Complete administrative duties, including work order documentation and data entry into the computerized maintenance system.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of heavy industrial/maintenance experience or a four-year apprenticeship certification.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and combustion systems.
• Experience with mounting and setting equipment (rigging experience desired), repairing mechanical transmission equipment, and fluid power systems.
• General equipment breakdown maintenance and heavy equipment experience is a plus.
• Experience fabricating light gauge guarding and repairing metal products using MIG, TIG, Arc, or Stick welding is a plus.
• Understanding of infrared, acoustics, and other predictive maintenance practices is a plus.
• Ability to work swing shifts and overtime as required.

Pay

$44.67/hour (bi-weekly pay schedule).
