Maintenance Tech II- 3rd Shift
About the role
Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician II – 3rd Shift to join our team located in Orwell, Ohio. The Maintenance Technician will ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
Pay
Hourly Rate: $25–$38/hr. commensurate with experience + 20% shift differential with possible increase after 90-Day Performance Review.
Schedule
8-hour shifts – Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM

Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance of all equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements.
- Perform thorough work and follow-through on repairs through feedback from internal customers.
- Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform sustainable solutions.
- Diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480 V.
- Properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM).
- Coordinate equipment updates and operational issues with off-shift maintenance personnel and other team members as needed.
- Attend outside training and seminars for continual education.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of maintenance experience
- Interpret electrical schematics
- Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals
Skills
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components
