Maintenance Tech II - 3rd shift
About the role
Eaton’s ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a Maintenance Tech II at our Dallas, TX facility. The core hours are 9:00 p.m. - 5:30 a.m, Sunday-Thursday. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician II performs intermediate to advanced-level troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and system components of equipment and machinery. Specific duties include:
- Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including root cause analysis, part replacement, and performance testing
- Modify or construct physical facilities to support operational changes or improvements
- Source and procure necessary parts and supplies
- Independently execute maintenance tasks in line with industry standards
- Operate machining equipment (e.g., lathe, drill press, grinder) and perform welding as needed for part fabrication and repair
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, cost reduction, and performance
- Adhere to 5S+ workplace organization standards
- Diagnose and resolve issues in control systems, including hardware, software, and configuration problems
- Assist and collaborate with other technicians, leadership, and small teams
- Perform electrical work in compliance with MESH 8.0 LOTO procedures
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and technical guidelines
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution, and either an Associate's degree with a technical focus and 3 years of related experience, or a High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of related experience. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship and be within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX (except for Active-Duty Military Service members).
Preferred Qualifications include prior experience with metalworking and welding machines, and proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
Skills
Position Success Criteria include the ability to comply with safety and environmental standards, work specific shift hours and overtime, and proficiency in using precision gauging instruments. Must also be able to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures, work proactively with other team members, and operate a lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts, and hand tools.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $25.00/hr - $27.00/hr per hour. Please note that salary information is a general guideline only, and salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
