Maintenance Tech

Essential Functions

• Eliminate problems through Root Cause Analysis
• Interacting with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems in the facility
• Comply with all safety and internal requirements set by OSHA, NFPA 70E and the Company policies
• Troubleshoot and general repair of the building and facilities
• Assist Maintenance Department with other duties and assignments as required

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent
• Extensive industrial electrical experience
• Minimum of five years verifiable industrial electrical maintenance experience

Special Skills

• Basic working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces
• Extensive working knowledge of Ohms law and its applications, Variable Speed Drives, PID Loop Controllers and relay logic based control schemes
• Ability to understand and utilize all functions of a multimeter, megohmeter, and other specialized electronic test equipment
• Good mathematical aptitude, both in knowledge and practice
• The ability to identify technical problems with little or no assistance and prevent and/or resolve issues rapidly
• The ability to read and interpret machine electrical schematics
• Ability to lift 50 pounds as required
• Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional peers as well as upper level management
• The ability to make independent judgments and utilize problem solving skills
