Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic pumps and valves powered by motors up to 1000 HP
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic systems and machine controls
• Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic systems and air compressor systems
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems ranging from 115V to 480V
• Troubleshoot and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Troubleshoot and maintain electric motors and controls
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders
• Read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics to identify and resolve equipment issues
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for injection molding processes and equipment
• Assist Production and Process Engineering teams in resolving machine-related process issues affecting quality, cycle times, and productivity
• Support the transition toward a more predictive and preventative maintenance culture
• Recommend and implement equipment modifications that improve safety, reliability, and performance
• Perform welding, fabrication, and minor design work as necessary to correct recurring equipment failures and reduce downtime

Qualifications And Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on plastic injection molding and/or hydraulic systems
• Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or a related technical field
• Maintenance experience involving: Hydraulics, Electrical systems, Electronics, Pneumatics, Machining, Welding, Blueprint and schematic reading
• Demonstrated service and troubleshooting history supporting manufacturing equipment
• Experience using: Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), Lean Manufacturing principles 5S methodologies
• Familiarity with hydraulic injection molding machines from OEMs such as: Engel KraussMaffei, Milacron, Arburg
• Experience with Fanuc robots and robotic automation systems
