About the role

Our Maintenance Technicians are the primary support for troubleshooting and resolving issues with complex equipment applications for production. They are the backbone of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with complex industrial equipment
  • Read and work from schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and sketches
  • Apply working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Maintain equipment design and capabilities to ensure efficient operation
  • Make daily decisions to reduce overall costs and identify areas for improvement
  • Adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and company policies
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and groups of employees
  • Write routine reports and correspondence
  • Demonstrate superior time management and crisis management skills
  • Act as a teacher and trainer for personnel on technical and administrative tasks

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Education, training, or applicable experience in a skilled trade pertaining to industrial maintenance
  • 3+ years in Industrial Maintenance
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools, and electrical devices
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations
  • Customer service-oriented approach

Skills

  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively
  • Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
  • Able to calculate figures such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate
  • Working knowledge of cost issues to make cost-effective decisions
  • Excellent employee relations skills, including active listening
  • Superior time management and ability to manage multiple issues concurrently

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, squat, climb (use of ladders) for extended periods (40% standing, 20% sitting, 20% climbing, 20% kneeling/squatting/laying in non-routine positions)
  • Ability to work long shifts (up to 12 hours per shift in a 24-hour period)
  • Ability to perform in varying temperatures and dusty environments with the use of PPE
  • Hand dexterity for prolonged use of hand tools
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Work Environment

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
  • Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • Daily and weekend overtime as required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License and/or other appropriate certification to work in certain areas or on certain equipment.
