About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will provide maintenance and training for PAC equipment and employees in the Middletown facility. This position requires an understanding of industrial safe work practices, electrical safe work practices, and the basic principles of repairs on industrial machinery. You must be able to assist with installations and repairs for new and existing equipment using basic shop tools, electrical components, and fabricated items to install, diagnose, repair, and optimize PAC machinery.

The ideal candidate will understand VFD and servo motors, pneumatics/hydraulics, mechanical/electrical blueprints, and possess a willingness to work independently to solve problems or make repairs to industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify safety concerns related to OSHA regulations and maintain all equipment to OEM, OSHA, or PAC safety standards.
  • Coach others on safe work practices and resolve unsafe conditions.
  • Meet all maintenance-related OSHA safety regulations, including required safety adherence, inspections, and facility maintenance.
  • Follow up on maintenance tasks related to safety as a result of Safety Committee recommendations, inspections, or employee suggestions.
  • Train less experienced employees in their essential duties (Level I & II).
  • Train operations, maintenance, and others following upgrades and new equipment installations (Level III).
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform repairs as needed, including light building repair.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures (Basic, Moderate, or Advanced) following a prescribed program and schedule.
  • Install and fabricate basic electrical components, such as switches, limits, and enclosures.
  • Use basic and advanced shop tools to perform repairs and fabrication.
  • Follow OEM manuals to perform setup, repair procedures, and diagnose root causes of machine problems impacting quality and productivity.
  • Follow outlined inventory control processes and identify parts/components needed for purchasing.
  • Collaborate with Engineering & Facility teams to maintain technical procedure documents and update facility equipment schematics.
  • Purchase necessary parts and components to maintain plant and equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Complete assigned work with varying levels of supervision (Level I: with supervision, Level II: limited supervision, Level III: without supervision).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Understanding of industrial and electrical safe work practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical blueprints.
  • Experience with VFD and servo motors, pneumatics/hydraulics, and basic shop tools.
  • Willingness to work independently to solve problems and make repairs.
