General maintenance role covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and welding tasks in an industrial plant setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance functions following blueprints, schematics, and written/verbal instructions.
- Anticipate parts requirements and acquire them ahead of tasks using proper purchasing procedures.
- Mechanical duties: rebuild pumps and valves, replace bearings, belts, sheaves, chains, sprockets, and perform building maintenance.
- Electrical duties: install conduit and wire, replace control components, install/test/replace electric motors, and troubleshoot systems using drawings, schematics, and PLC status.
- Plumbing duties: replace or install piping (copper, stainless steel, black iron, plastic) and auxiliary components like valves.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Troubleshoot plant equipment as needed.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement and process improvement opportunities.
- Safeguard company assets and protect customer, company, vendor, and employee information.
- Make timely decisions, anticipate problems, and implement solutions.
- Contribute to plant goals and organizational success.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with customers, vendors, employees, and peers.
- Present a well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including routine equipment inspections, lubrication, parts replacement/adjustments.
- Conduct chemical analysis of water treatment systems and make adjustments for optimal performance.
- Inspect wastewater treatment systems and perform necessary tests.
- Perform stick and TIG welding to build or repair plant equipment, aiming to conform to 3A standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 18+ years of age.
- Available for full-time work on 2nd shift, including rotation schedule, weekends, and required overtime.
- Proven working knowledge of electrical/mechanical skills and operational knowledge of basic tools and equipment.
- PLC experience is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fabrication, and welding.
- Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Pay
Starting rate of $26.65 per hour, with increases over time. Sign-on bonus may be available.
