Maintenance Team Lead

About the role

The Skilled Trades Team Lead position at HNI Workplace Furnishings in Muscatine, IA, requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in providing and implementing solutions in equipment, process, and facility reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves leading day-to-day shop floor activities, executing scheduled work, resourcing and prioritizing emergency work, escalating job overruns or interruptions to GLShift, refining and finalizing labor, parts, priorities, and methods, and communicating with maintenance technicians, planners, operations, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day shop floor activities
• Execute scheduled work
• Resourcing and prioritization of emergency work
• Escalation of job overruns or interruptions to GLShift
• Tactical decision to stay on schedule
• Refine and finalize labor, parts, priorities, and methods
• Communicate with maintenance technicians, planners, operations, and engineering as frequently as possible

Requirements

• Must be able to perform the same work as other Skilled Trades members
• Proficient in MS Office
• Strong communication and leadership skills required to ensure positive productivity
• CNC programming software experience
• Radiance Control Interface (RCI) experience including 3P, Standard Work, and Standard Work Layout
• Proficient in PLC, software, panel view, and panel control software
• Proficient in MP2 or CMMS software

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years experience in providing and implementing solutions in equipment, process, and facility reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in leading teams to successful outcomes
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
