Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $31.00–$33.00/hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay is available for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications.
Requirements
- 1 year minimum as a maintenance supervisor for multifamily
- Advanced knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards
- One or more industry-specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, OSHA, or similar)
- Service orientation and basic computer skills
- Three or more years' experience working as a Maintenance Technician, Apartment Turn Technician, Service Technician, Make-Ready Technician, or Work Order Technician
- A basic understanding of written and verbal English
Responsibilities
- Serve as the leader for the team of Service Technicians, Facilities Technicians, and Housekeepers
- Oversee and execute hands-on maintenance duties to maintain and enhance the value of the community
- Perform consistent inspections, diagnose problems, and make necessary repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures
- Manage the daily inventory of apartment homes to support leasing efforts, including the Make-Ready and Turn Board
- Schedule contractors and vendors as needed
- Inspect the property for safety hazards and correct them to mitigate liability
- Share rotating on-call duty with service team members and respond to after-hours emergencies in uniform/badge
- Complete the Weekly Service Report in a timely manner
- Adhere to Mark-Taylor safety protocols, programs, policies, and procedures
- Participate in training classes and mentor Service Technicians and Facilities Technicians
- Keep accurate records of preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections, inventories, pool chemical logs, make-ready, and turn units
- Maintain excellent customer service and positive rapport with all residents and team members
- Oversee capital projects, including bidding and execution
