Maintenance Supervisor - Sewer
Job Summary
This position performs entry-level professional work utilizing techniques that require understanding of involved practices, principles and/or theory for mastery of the ongoing operation and maintenance of sanitary sewer systems throughout the Saratoga Springs City properties. Will direct day-to-day operations as the front-line supervisor of Maintenance I, II, III, & IV -- Sewer, Seasonal Maintenance -- Sewer, and other temporary workers. This employee also functions as one of the City's principal "on-call" employees for after-hour emergencies related to the area of responsibility and for snowplowing.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directs day-to-day operations as the front-line supervisor of Maintenance I, II, III, & IV -- Sewer, Seasonal Maintenance -- Sewer, and other temporary workers.
- Functions as one of the City's principal "on-call" employees for after-hour emergencies related to the area of responsibility and for snowplowing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in a related field.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of sanitary sewer systems.
- Ability to direct day-to-day operations and supervise workers.
- Knowledge of city and state regulations regarding sanitary sewer systems.
- Ability to function as an on-call emergency response personnel.
