About the role
The Manager of Facilities and Service (Maintenance Supervisor) role at Nacona in Glendale, AZ, is responsible for overseeing and executing maintenance duties to ensure the smooth operation and enhancement of the community's value.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute hands-on maintenance duties such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, dry walling, appliances, and exterior structures.
- Manage the daily inventory of apartment homes to support leasing efforts, including managing the Make-Ready, Turn Board.
- Schedule contractors and vendors as needed.
- Inspect the property for safety hazards and correct them.
- Share rotating on-call duty with service team members and be readily available to go the property after hours if needed and in uniform/badge.
- Complete Weekly Service Report in a timely manner.
- Adhere to Mark-Taylor safety protocols, programs, policies and procedures.
- Participate in training classes.
- Train and mentor Service Technician and Facilities Technicians.
- Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections, inventories, pool chemical logs, make-ready and turn units.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive rapport with all residents and team members.
- Oversee capital projects, including bidding and execution.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, or similar title in the multi-family industry.
- Advanced knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
- One or more industry-specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, OSHA or similar).
- Proven success in leading, training, and developing a team.
- Service orientation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Three or more years' experience as a Maintenance Technician, Apartment Turn Technician, Service Technician, Make-Ready Technician, or Work Order Technician.
- A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $31.00-33.00/hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications applies within 90 days of hire.
